Ila Mapp, DNP, RN, CCRN-K, Director, Advanced Care at Home, UNC Health
Ila Mapp, DNP, RN, CCRN-K has been enhancing her nursing craft for 28 years through travel nursing, bedside patient care, and leadership. In 2008, Ila joined the UNC organization advancing from clinical nurse to Nurse Manager. She has held a leadership roles within UNC Medical Center and UNC Health since 2013 with her specialty in critical care managing four specialty teams: Rapid Response, ICU Transport, Venous Access Team, and CVAD Liaison. Ila now serves as Director for Advanced Care at Home – an innovative utilization of technology providing acute care for patients in their homes. This model of healthcare incorporates the collaboration of internal and external community stakeholders inclusive of Paramedics and Home Health Nursing working together with the common goal of patient-centered care for the Triangle of North Carolina.

Issues in Strategic Engagement: Building Stakeholder Endorsement and Partnership for Your Program : Implementing a Hospital at Home program requires a multidisciplinary team of innovative, motivated, and dedicated partners. This partnership must be funneled from Senior Executives down to frontline internal and external providers. This breakout session will provide you the insight of identifying those key stakeholders, provide you recommendations on how to promote your Hospital at Home program for endorsement, and mitigation strategies for overcoming the possible barriers that may arise and/or exist within your organization.
