Candra Szymanski, MS, RN, AVP, UMass Memorial Health Care
Candra Szymanski, MS RN joined the UMass Memorial Health Hospital at Home Program in July 2021 as the Interim Associate Vice President. She brings 40 plus years of nursing/leadership experience to this exciting new program.
Candra completed her generic nursing education at the York Hospital School of Nursing in York, PA. Received her undergraduate degree from Worcester State University and her Master’s and Post Master’s education from the University of Massachusetts, Worcester. Prior to joining the Hospital at Home Program, she held several hospital-based leadership roles as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Emergency and Psychiatric Services for UMass Memorial Health and the Chief Operating Officer at Marlborough Hospital.

Hospital at Home Staffing Strategies : The hospital at home concept has allowed hospital systems to build their own unique “villages”. Models can vary from providing full in-home care, partial in-home care and full virtual care. This session will provide insight on what staffing resources are needed to run a hospital-at-home program and what the care model at UMass Memorial Medical Center looks like in comparison to other models.
